2 Ancient Mounted Coins Stolen in Zürich (Reported June 8, 2018)

Dear Colleagues / Chers Collègues,

I have just been informed that the hereunder 2 coins have been stolen in Zürich, but apparently about 1 year ago.

One coin had been proposed (out of the mounting) to a Zürich coin dealer.

Collier : Severus Alexander (A.D. 222-235), Aureus, draped bust right, rev. PM TR P III COS PP, emperor left, with globe and inverted spear (RIC. 43), good very fine, contained in gold mount with fluted suspension loop, together with a contemporary Roman gold chain, 43.25 gms., including mount and chain

Bague: Commodus, gold Quinarius, mounted in contemporary ring, 31.70 gms., including ring, Rome, M COMMODUS ANTON AUG PIUS, laureate head right, rec. TR P VIII IMP VI COS III P P, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm (TIC. 68; C. 894), very fine and rare

Ludovic Marock
